I really must get back to oil painting. This is the first oil sketch I have done in quite a few months. I spent alot of time on the composition which was far more complicated than the end result. When I started painting, I rid the composition of everything but the baby.
Using artrage has allowed me to explore color in the non destructive digital realm. These digital experiments allow me to pre visualize color harmony when working in the analogue domain far more effective than in the past. Oil on wood. Cad red ground. 24"x18" (quite small for me). 10/28/08 |
